Yamaha AN1x

Yamaha AN1x

The AN1x was one of the earliest analog modeling synthesizers, and certainly one of the most popular.

While the AN1x may share its case style with the CS1x, it is a completely different machine. Its eight multi-function knobs and large array of function buttons can be daunting at first but they give an excellent level of control over a vast number of parameters. It has onboard effects, scene memories, an excellent arpeggiator, and a ribbon controller. Add this to the pulse width modulation, ring modulation, and oscillator syncing capabilities and you have a very expressive and tweakable machine.
