Roland Jupiter 8

Roland Jupiter 8

A 61-key synthesizer covered with buttons and sliders, the JP-8 has 16 analog oscillators with two available per voice, resulting in 8-note polyphony. It has two resonant analog 24 decibel/octave filters with 4-pole and 2-pole settings as well as high-pass and low-pass filtering.

The factory model does not support MIDI, but retro-fit kits have been made available by some manufacturers.

Many professional artists have been spotted using the Jupiter-8, including BT, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Future Sound of London, Jean-Michel Jarre, Moby, Orbital, Prince, Rush, Tangerine Dream, Thomas Dolby, Underworld, and Vince Clarke
